Cimaron
Mark Mancina Signature Model
Mark Mancina Signature Model
Built in collaboration with composer and musician Mark Mancina, the Cimaron is shaped by over two decades of building, refining, and listening.
Only five are built each year.
A close friend of ours has been holding onto a stash of old growth, rare wood for decades—materials that are no longer easily sourced. The Cimaron is our opportunity to put that into something meaningful.
At its core, it’s a semi-hollow build designed around feel.
The 15” lower bout makes it more compact and comfortable than a traditional 16” body. It sits in closer. Feels more connected. Whether you’re playing for hours or just picking it up for a few minutes, it never fights you.
Up top, a carved Adirondack Spruce top brings a liveliness you notice immediately. The attack is quick, but it doesn’t fall off. Notes hang, bloom, and stay present—there’s a sense of movement to the tone that keeps everything feeling alive.
The roasted curly maple neck paired with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard gives you a balanced, relaxed response across the strings. There’s clarity and separation, but nothing feels rigid. You can lean into it, or back off, and it follows you.
We’re using hide glue throughout the build to preserve as much natural resonance as possible, allowing the instrument to stay open and responsive from the very beginning.
It’s loaded with a Ron Ellis pickup set that complements the acoustic voice of the instrument. What comes through the amp feels connected to what you’re hearing unplugged—full, dynamic, and detailed without ever feeling forced.
Stainless steel frets for consistency and longevity. Hardshell case included.
It settles in quick - and doesn’t let go.
Limited to five builds per year.
Pricing is shared upon inquiry.
